About

Our family.

Hi, we’re the Christensen’s. Our family created Beespoke Artist Co-op in August, 2021. We’re a boutique shop of handmade & handpicked items featuring local Utah artists. We also wanted to help the community become artists themselves by offering quality art classes in a variety of mediums for all ages.

When you stop by, you’ll often find one of our four daughters working the register (in their eyes, the most coveted job at the shop), cleaning, or helping out with our social media pages. The girls are also quite creative and have some of their own work on display in the “Youth Vendor” area of the shop. We love that Beespoke gives them this unique experience early in life.

Dave and Jen mostly run the day to day dealings with the shop and Jen teaches the Bee Creative kids classes. When not at the shop, Dave works full time as a UX Designer and Jen is an elementary teacher at Liahona Preparatory Academy.

Here’s more about how this crazy dream became a reality…

The vision.

After years of strolling occasional weekend markets and being constantly surprised by the creativity here in Utah, we visualized that setting in a more permanent brick and mortar shop. Customers could find that perfect, thoughtful gift, even at the last minute. Likewise, artists would have the opportunity to have their work displayed without the exhausting weekends most vendors endure schlepping displays and products town to town. Win-win, right? We thought so too.

The space.

With the idea brewing, finding just the right location was crucial. Patience paid off tenfold when we found our “home”. We are simply giddy to begin our adventure in this charming 1929 historic house in American Fork, Utah. We couldn’t ask for a more perfect backdrop to feature the beauty of our artists’ work.

Bonus: We have a fabulous Art Studio in our basement ready for classes & parties taught by our in-house artists! Naturally, we’re busy purchasing all the fun equipment we couldn’t justify before… a kiln, screen printing machine, block press, laser engraver… we have big plans!

The name.

Bespoke is a quirky British adjective meaning “made for a particular customer” — basically, custom made. Even though it mostly refers to tailored clothing, we thought it still fit the artisan vibe of our shop. And how could we have a boutique in the great Beehive State without taking the opportunity for a good ol’ fashion play on words. Thus, Beespoke Artist Co-op was born.
