Instructor Madeline Gibson of Salamander Plum has created this class for 7th – 12th graders. Class will refine student’s knowledge and study still life, landscapes, and portraiture, while also learning about contemporary artists and their techniques.

Madeline is a fine artist who has studied art throughout her life in many different settings. She enjoys incorporating other creative expressions in her art but generally works in oils. Madeline has been painting for 18 years and selling her work for 3. She wants to give other people the skills and knowledge she has acquired, hoping to build up the art community in this area. She hopes that through this class, students can strengthen their skill set, expand their understanding of different mediums, and see that making art is a truly grounding practice.
