Mead Making

Mead, also known as “honey wine,” is perhaps the oldest alcoholic beverage known on earth. Vikings, Mayans, Egyptians, Chinese, Greeks, and Romans all enjoyed this fermented “nectar of the gods” dating back to 7,000 B.C.E. With the increase in home brewing in America, Mead has made a resurgence in recent years.

This workshop will teach you hands on how to make a basic Must, along with discussing
methods of adding flavors. Class will include all necessary equipment to make one gallon of mead, including fresh 2022 raw honey. Mead will be drinkable in 3-4 weeks, just in time for the Holidays. We will show you how to measure your alcohol content, as well as Siphon when your mead is ready.
